Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated right in the center of Hawes, offering convenience and a friendly atmosphere. Rooms are basic but come at a reasonable price. The staff is a mixed bag, with some being very helpful and attentive while others may seem put out by requests.
I had the pleasure of staying in a room all to myself with all the extras you find in much more expensive hotels, and the hotel is located in the center of town at the end of a corridor. The fridge outside my room was a convenient touch. The service was top-notch, with very attentive waiting staff who were incredibly helpful, although there were some issues with the shower and en-suite facilities that were promptly acknowledged and addressed by the owners' family. The location is simply amazing, right in the heart of the charming village with plenty of pubs and eating options around. The dining experience, although good, had a few hiccups such as ordering breakfast the day before and a somewhat late breakfast time. The facilities were excellent overall.
The hotel offers great value, despite the rooms showing signs of needing refurbishment. The service was a bit mixed but overall friendly. The location is excellent for exploring Hawes and the Yorkshire Dales, with fantastic dining options nearby. The facilities are decent but could use some improvements.
